Recombinant human epidermal growth factor (EGF) is a biologically active protein factor in cell culture, type of polypeptide substance widely present in mammals, which exert a physiological action by binding to the EGF receptor on the cell membrane. EGF has a profound effect on the differentiation of specific cells in vivo, and is a powerful mitotic factor in a variety of in vitro cultured ectoderm and mesoderm cells.In vitro, EGF is a mitogen of fibroblasts, epithelial cells, and endothelial cells, promoting colony formation in epithelial cell culture.In vivo, EGF promotes the formation of epithelial cells and blood vessels.
This product is a lyophilized powder prepared by recombinant Pichia pastors, separated and purified by multiple steps, and then sterilized by filtration through a 0.22 μm filters and freeze-dried.

- Recommended Method
It is recommended to centrifuge the powder to the bottom of the tube before opening the lid, then dissolve it in sterilized deionized water to prepare a storage solution of 100 μg/ml. It can be stored stably for 2 weeks at 2~ 8 ℃. When diluted to a lower concentration (not less than 10μg/ml), 0.1% tissue culture grade BSA or HSA is required. If it is necessary to extend the storage time, it is recommended to freeze at -80 ℃ or -20 ℃ rather than multigelation. This product should be determined by experiment to determine the optimum concentration according to each specific application.
- Transport and Storage Stability
